Warranty Registration

            

Registering your new Jasic inverter(s) is a quick and easy way to further protect your investment.

JASIC's unrivalled commitment to after-sales service is based on understanding the importance of maximising productivity and minimising downtime for our customers.

For this reason we employ our own dedicated service team and do not use third party service agents.

All new JASIC welders, plasma cutters and multi-process units sold through our partner Wilkinson Star Limited within the United Kingdom & Ireland shall be warrantied to the original owner, non transferable, against failure due to defective materials or production. The warranty period is 5 years following the date of purchase. We recommend you register your product online within 28 days of purchase. 

The original invoice is documentation for the standard 5 year warranty period.

Defective units shall be repaired or replaced by the company at our service facility. The company may opt to refund the purchase price (less any costs and depreciation due to use and wear). The company reserves the right to alter the warranty conditions at any time with effect for the future.

A prerequisite for the full warranty is that products are operated in accordance with the operating instructions supplied, observing the relevant installation and any legal requirements recommendations and guidelines and carrying out the maintenance instructions shown in the operator manual.

 

Warranty repairs will only be carried out by Wilkinson Star Limited or authorised Jasic distributor technicians who have

attended a Jasic training course otherwise warranty will be invalidated.

The customer has no claim to loan or replacement products whilst repairs are being performed.

Warranty claims will only be accepted from authorised Jasic distributors and in the unlikely event of a problem this should be reported to the technical support team to review the claim.

 

Wilkinson Star will arrange at its expense to collect and return from our distributor (UK Mainland only) equipment to be repaired under warranty.

Collection arrangements for hire companies are contained in the warranty procedure for hire companies.

The following falls outside the scope of the warranty:

  • Defects due to natural wear and tear

  • Failure to observe the operating and maintenance instructions

  • Connection to an incorrect or faulty mains supply

  • Overloading during use

  • Any modifications that are made to the product without the prior written approval of Wilkinson Star Limited

  • Software errors due to incorrect operation

  • Any repairs that are carried out using non-approved spare parts

  • Any transport or storage damage.

  •  The warranty period is based on a single shift pattern. Units  purchased for rental or hire are subject to separate warranty terms and conditions.

  • Direct or indirect damage as well as any loss of earnings are not covered under the warranty

  • External damage such as fire or damage due to natural causes, e.g., flooding.

  • Warranty repairs carried out by non-authorised Jasic distributors.

 

NOTE: Under the terms of the warranty, welding torches, their consumable parts, wire feed unit drive rolls and guide tubes, work return cables and clamps, electrode holders, connection and extension cables, mains and control leads, plugs, wheels, coolant, etc. are covered with a 3 month warranty.

Wilkinson Star Limited shall in no event be responsible for any third party expenses or expenses / costs or any indirect or consequential expenses/costs.

Wilkinson Star Limited will submit an invoice for any repair work performed outside the scope of the warranty.

A quotation for any non warranty will be raised prior to any repairs being carried out.

The decision about repair or replacement of the defective part(s) is made by our partner Wilkinson Star. The replaced part(s) remain(s) Wilkinson Star property.

Warranty extends only to the machine, its accessories and parts contained inside. No other warranty is expressed or implied. No warranty is expressed or implied in regards to the fitness of the product for any particular application or use.

The 5 year warranty period of your Jasic welding or cutting equipment is subject to the following conditions:

The warranty is subject to the equipment being maintained in accordance with the details shown in the instruction manual. It is recommended that any maintenance be carried by a suitably qualified and competent person. 

Jasic UK & Ireland reserve the right to contact users who have registered for extended warranty from time to time in the form of new product launches etc. Users reserve the right to unsubscribe at any time from any email communication.

If in our judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of the product warranty terms, we reserve the right to deny you access to our services (or any part thereof).

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these warranty terms by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our website or the service following the posting of any changes to these warranty terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Important Note:
The 5 Year warranty only applies to Jasic inverters supplied from stock that originated from the UK & Ireland.
If you are outside the UK and Ireland please check with your local supplier to see if the product came via Wilkinson Star Limited (Jasic UK & Ireland). If the product wasn't supplied to your supplier via Wilkinson Star any warranty is with the supplier in your country.
Important Notice:
The serial number will begin with (as example) 'AA' or 'AB' etc.
